When we talk about children’s party, the possibilities of themes are endless. I believe and I am am on behalf of using creativity and make beautiful, playful and impacting decor with simplicity and elegance. You don’t need much.

I reinforce that in those cases less is more, and that children get happy with little things, believe me!

I like parties that have family and affective participation involved. Candies made by grandma, cake made by mom, decor elements selected from home…But nowadays this is a reality that has become more and more distant.

Not even all moms have time available, patience, or manual skills. Fortunately, the internet is full of references and virtual stores that make life easier for the busiest moms.

And it was exactly researching for party themes and trends, that I was enchanted by a theme more and more in evidence lately.

Have you heard that the llamas are the new unicorns?

The charming animals are mixed with ethnic, native and boho elements, with strong Latin inspirations. This mix somewhat exaggerated creates a groundbreaking, authentic and super cute environment.

The most common rereading consists of a candy color palette, creating a romantic and enchanted touch in a delicate and soft environment. For a more modern look, bet in vibrant colors inspired by the art of Frida Khalo.

As the subject is free, do not stick to a region (Peru, for example). Mix the llamas with cacti, succulents, teepees and lots of andean prints, creating a Latin air, vibrant and positive.

Some tips to make the party look like a home made one:

– Use tables and supports of different sizes, (here you can use tables, chairs, dressers…), creating an interesting and with more movement geometry.

– Make drawings related to the theme with the children and attach them to a wall with colorful washii tapes, forming an exhibition (children love and die of pride). How about the wall behind the cake?

-Use disposables with prints and colors. Let an element with the theme of the party, not everything has to be thematic. The visual will be less polluted and the composition more interesting. PS: Acrylics are more sustainable! 😉

– Replace the traditional candy for fruit skewers, cookies and homemade cakes.

Wanna see references of parties with the llama theme? It’s adorable!

Morram de amores!
