The 83rd Pitti Bimbo edition has begun here in Florence and, as expected, invited by Childrensalon, we’re here to check out everything that happens on the catwalk to show first-hand for you.

Opening the shows, we had the Children’s Fashion From Spain, which brings several Spanish brands to present what is trending in the children’s fashion world.

Follow us on this journey and check out the news directly from the little one’s walkway.

A great beach party with music and games; the joy of spending your free time with friends; warm summer afternoons that invite you to have an ice cream, laugh out loud and express your happiness with fun, colourful looks. This is Barcarola’s proposal for summer 2017.

Linens and cottons combine with different textures: voile, subtle and lightweight; cambric, always in style and embellished with embroidery and cutwork; twills for texture; soft satin, a magnificent canvas for floral and striped prints.

The colour palette reflects one of many summer sunsets with coral, papaya, indigo blue, lavender and, above all, white.

Boboli’s proposal for the Pitti Bimbo catwalk takes us to the beach. With a two-tone look for girls. Fresh, lightweight fabrics in a range of greys and whites with touches of lime. For boys, a more adventurous style with khaki and sand combined with black and hints of orange.

The Boboli collection includes three more families. Sailors and mermaids, Red and blue flowers and Encounter Culture.

Canada House proposal is inspired by the tropical flowers and palm trees of the beaches of Hawaii and Baja California, witnesses to surfing and music. Greens, fuchsias and mangos bring light and summer to the garments. Tropical fruit, pineapples, lemons, flamingos and hibiscus flowers are the main motifs used on prints.

At Desigual’s catwalk, the blue and pink combination was the highlight. For the girls, flowing fabrics such as tulle, for super feminine looks. Details with glitter brought fun to the pieces. For the boys, cool looks always matching with a  Panama hat style.

Losan’s new collection presents a wide range of garments, from the most sporty to the most casual chic styles. The girls collection is filled with floral prints and watercolor graphics. Pastel tones prevail, with yellow and light blue shades being the main trends. This summer’s color will be pink, from a subtle pastel to a vibrant neon.

The boys range is full of color, especially with acid colors, both in garments and in prints. Indigo shades are the star of the show, along with vibrant oranges, limes and yellows.
In graphics, figurative prints, watercolor splashes, tropical themes and digital photographic prints stand out.

In SS2017 for girls, Mayoral presents Pop Sugar, a risky and daring trend where aqua green blends with natural white. Of particular importance are the brushstroke patterned and colour mixing. Worn out jeans and clothes full of graphics with brushstroke effects stand out.

For boy, the Reflection trend goes for a new and attractive colour pallet: aqua green and mint green blend with a deep blue called Atlantic and a very masculine neutral colour called Gypsum. We find garments with a lot of photographic treatment in fleece and t-shirts, reversible items, pullover with a deep dye, polo shirts and shorts with vintage style patterns or trousers with details in their fabrics.

The Tuc Tuc influences range from naïve, sixties or pop, to tropical or fun Hawaiian, camouflage and geometric prints; the world of comics and videogames is also present.

For girls, pieces with Havana-style tropical prints. Pin-up bandanas, baskets, foulards or pretty polka dot bags to accessorise colourful pieces with plant and exotic bird prints, sixties style, naïve or pop.

The New Born line offers fun pieces with multicoloured stripes and fresh ice cream tones combined with prints of friendly monsters, beach umbrellas and fish.

The Baby line brings green and red tones on geometric prints that emulate insects. Very feminine pieces with watermelon illustrations on a turquoise background, and knit dresses with tulle and glitter details. For boys, single-tone checks, monkey prints and Hawaiian-style Bermuda shorts.

Kids features a wild theme with camouflage and green as the stars. Asymmetric pieces with crochet and exotic animal and tropical fruit prints will bring a fun touch.
