Teen magazines…Pure nostalgia! <3
My name is Flavia and, if you’re a FashionKids reader, you have probably seen my name signing some (many) articles here! =) Maybe I have already emailed you to tell some news or sended an invitation. But we were never formally introduced…
Well, the presentation time has come and today’s post is all about me!
I am going to follow a chronological order to make it easy to understand. By the way, one thing you guys should know about me is that I like to talk A LOT! And by being very talkative I end up aways telling giant stories that may seem very confusing if I do not follow an order. That said, let’s go!
My story with the writing started early in my teenage years, when monthly my parents came home carrying a stack of teen magazines with all sorts of content that 13,14 year old girls want to read. And I used to read them all in a matter of hours!
My relationship with the magazines was getting serious as I was getting older, and about to go to College, I decided that I wanted to spend my life writing about some of the things I used to read on it.
Teen magazines…Pure nostalgia! <3
With a journalism degree, it was time to adventure myself in the market. I worked with press, writing, marketing… Until three years ago, when there was an opportunity to change Rio (oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I’m from Rio!) for São Paulo.
My two places in the world
Arriving here, I met the FashionKids crew, we got along very well and started working together. And since then it’s been great! It’s so much fun writing about a decorating theme that I’m loving with at the moment. Or about wonderful mini-size clothing on the red carpet. Besides, here we also love to talk about life, our common interests, exchange tips, have a cup of coffee together… And it is in this relaxed atmosphere that ideas come and are turned into posts that we write here.
Since I joined FashionKids, some things have changed in my life. I already moved from house (twice!), from neighborhood, changed the decor of the house, changed some habits in my lifestyle…But certainly the biggest one was the arrival of my baby in October of last year.
If before I wrote about the children’s universe by affinity with the subject, now I can say that I write also with full knowledge of the cause!
After spending 9 months decorating, buying clothes, setting everything for the baby and, with his arrival, experiencing all the nuances of motherhood, I can say that I definatelly have the expertise to write about it.
So, I hope you will enjoy the posts that are coming soon! =)
Details and cute outfit
Details made by me =)
When I take a break from working and mothering, I like to watch Netflix (Ru Paul’s Drag Race best show!), read, cook, hang out with friends, travel, make drinks (not always successful), photograph (my baby is currently my favorite model) and talk like there’s no tomorrow!
If like me you also like to stalk the life of strangers, you can see a little bit of my day to day here: @flavia.s.araujo
And now that I’ve said a lot about myself, I expect the same from you. I’d love to know who’s reading me! If you want to talk a little about yourself or give suggestions and ideas, feel free to do so.
Compulsive reader, tv series addicted, pet lover and probably the most curious person in the world.
